Seen SUB slipping into terminology for SUP, what do you reckon better or worse or just confusing?

Thought SUB's had periscopes.

SUP is what we are doing and what we are. SUB is what we are doing it on.

As an overall name SUP probably makes the most sense because people understand what you are talking about and know what it means.

Ahh the terminolgy, before i got my sup if i went for a surf in crappy waves and someone said "did you go surfing today" i would say" yeah went for a paddle" now they think i mean i went suping. its only a name anyway doesnt really bother me what people call it.

That depends on how heavy you are or how small the board is...A friend who's a big guy had a go on the Bonga once..and he was defiantly SUB'ing...

I really don't think that SUB makes real sense. Because you stand up on most surfboards. the idea is to separate the board from the rest.

Shortboard - you still stand up on this one too, but it is "SHORT".
Longboard - You still stand up on this board too, but it is "LONG".
SUP Board - A board that you paddle on standing up! Or a Stand Up Paddle board

SUB stands for Stand up Board, and really thats what every board is.

I like SUP, it works for both flat water and waves, and for both the short and longboard styles. And it's definitely better than BOOGIE BOARD!!

My 2 cents.
