Hello Gold Coast Suppers,

My family and I are visiting the Gold Coast from the Sunshine Coast next weeked and I am hoping to take the board and get a session in on Saturday morning (maybe even Sunday to if I can).

I often read about you guys surfing at the Alley and had a couple of questions.

Is there a line up there or are there a few places where you can catch a wave without getting amongst a crowd?

Does the tide make much difference to the conditions or is it generally beter at low or high tide?

Thanks for any help.

I usually sup at he Alley , its usually pretty crowded expecially when its on although most of the sup,s hang out at the wide bank at Laceys and theirs plenty of room.I think low tide if its small is best!

Thanks Andrew,

Do you paddle straight out of the creek and then head left or right?

Yeah mate staight out the creek and head left , their have been better waves along the beachies North of the Alley. If the weekend end looks to be crappy still head out and you may have the place virtually to yourself.I went out this Arvo with my Nephew he rode my 10.6 and i was on my Dc17 , it was mushy windy 2 ft if you where lucky but we still had fun.My Nephew had a go on my big board and rode one for about 200m and he could not believe how much fun it is in small stuff and fast too. He,s usually a short boarder but after bagging me heaps over the last year or so , i think ive got him to the Dark Side.

Cheers , Might see you out their

JPG IMO,
On saturday dont go to the Alley, stunet report is saying it will be ankle to knee high, no fun
Forecast is for 1-2 ft sth fACING beaches. Drive to the northen tip of the Glitter strip and find a bank between s/port and Broadie. HIt it earlier enough you may find a little frame for yourself for an hour or two!

Bwaaaha ha ha ha. Cant even beat the Bunnies mate. Nice, small glassy waves all over the Goldie at the moment, I'm sure you will find something to play on. GO THE TITANS!!

How about us breezers get on it in the bar before the game, half time
and bugger it after as well, that way our visitor will have the Alley all
to himself come Saturday

Pumping Jetty at the Seaway. If nothing start heading South. You will find waves to yourself.
