Yeah i overlanded to their a long time ago now.
Its an awesome place though i never really got the place pumping.

Basically the wave is a fast twisty powerful beast that is best at low tide. It breaks over a shallow sharp coral reef, hence the name and it takes no prisioners.

I would be suprised if you could SUP the place as its so sucky.
Getting there years ago was a long haul on small local buses from Taliwang and finding somewhere to stay was equally challenging. Must have changed by now though.
There were some locals in moluk (?sp) that would happily open their doors for a few rupe's.

From what i have read since is that the boat charter people have swarmed on the place as there are some other great breaks nearby and i hear that it gets crowded. Heres a pic i found
