If I can get a leave pass in the morning I was hoping to do a dawny down Torquay way. I know theres a few of you doing the downwinder, but given the crappy wind tomorrow, can anyone suggest where I might get either a longboar or SUP wave around dawn? Will I be a chance of breaking my PRK virginity?? Any help anyone can afford would be muchly appreciated.

Gav.

Gav,

I think you would be best looking at the downwinder. The forecast is for increasing SE winds, which is totally the wrong direction for the west coast.

Dawn at PRK is actually a half chance. Tide will be low-low (low, low tide, as opposed to high low tide... you know what I mean!). It can actually handle a southerly, with a little SSE.... Dawn may be a touch windy, but less windy than later in the day.....

I'd probably sleep in, and save the credits for a better day though...

But the down wind option is probably better. There was a board offer !!

That downwinder is looking more easterly than SSE.

PT, Are you thinking about Corio Bay, or a Melbourne DW option.

Pt Henry to Geelong Grammar should present some right-hander runners, under an ESE.

Wait until the morning, for some actual wind readings also.

I think I'll miss the Corio downwinder because I have to collect my daughter from a singing lesson at 12.45 in Hawthorn so that's pretty much splitting the day in half.
