you would need someone one to watch it for you anyway , otherwise it would las 5 min before someone nicked it.

How clever too easy when you think about it. Possibly better than a gopro being that you can watch them on the wave and its a lot steadier as well. Just showed the wife and she said I could buy one and add to the birthday pressies. (Board, paddle, board cover and two paddle covers the giving never stops:)

That's very clever! Far easier than teaching my wife to hold the camera steady and missng all the best waves because shes day dreaming!!
I would buy one if they were cheaper.

I traveled the world for 15 years surfing amazing breaks... and I have a sum total of one picture to prove it.(water shot... big Sunset beach drop ... so at least its a good one)

I always traveled alone, so no one to handle the camera so I have a bunch of pictures of people I don't know surfing breaks I visited.

Geeze... where was the Gopro/solo shot then?

There will probably be a decent market for the Solo Shot Camo
I want royalty's

How could you mount it on your Jet-Ski as the camera will also be in a perspex water housing. Be great to film a Downwind run.

As for surfing you would need the zoom up high + your lady friend to sit next to it so it doesn't walk

What about setting it up in your car where possible and shooting through the wind screen ?
