The water looked great. How did the 12footer go. Looks super stable with nice glide. Who has the NSP demo boards in melbourne ? I am thinking of having a look at the 14footer. Cheers
The Bay water temp is now down to a balmy 10.8C, the ocean is 12C. Still SUP'ing is warmer than on the shortie - good incentive to stay upright, anyway. I've surfed the last two weekends and I think the water was noticeably colder last weekend. Two weekends ago we were at Woolamai and it was great - beautiful offshore waves and the water seemed almost mild. In fact Mike K had over 8 hours in the water, in two sessions.
Last weekend, though, the hold downs seemed longer, colder and you came up breathless at times.
I take my hat off to the guys that surf places like Mavericks. Massive waves in seriously cold water.
The new 12' NSP was great and fun to paddle in those conditions.. I tooks pics of the board.. and I'll start a new thread about it.. with a review of how it paddles.
