hi
iam new in sup
one problem iam facing is how to transport the sup through the sand
is it any Stand Up Paddle Surfboard Carrier?
this stuff that has two basic wheels where you can put the botton of the sup
may be there is a tutorial of how to do a selfmade one?

Hi mikesup...Welcome to the forum.

It's a common problem that needs to be addressed..IMO

My friend Helke is a small girl that has trouble carrying her 10'6" Naish.

She uses a board bag with shoulder strap most of the time to get it to the waters edge.

Shops should be selling trolleys and carry straps..I reckon Starboard and Naish should sell them as an accessory.

BTW..You can just wrap two roof rack straps around each end and then clip a shoulder strap to each one.

It works fine..and even lets you pick your nose while carrying you board..

U can get Quiver caddys which u can fit like 5 boards on or sumthing but there a bit pricey i think.

I made a carrier like DJ's and carried my board 800m to the beach for a paddle and return. It was fine. Very easy to carry.

I bought a "proper" one from www.bettersurfthansorry.com/stand-up-paddleboard-carriers-s/121.htm rather than dick around with webbing and velcro and buckles and sewing my own. It cost $60.

I haven't used it yet but it should be fine.

The only problem with the DIY one is the tie-down straps are a bit long and the metal buckles can scratch your board and there's nothing to hook your paddle onto. The commercial jobby has all the buckles and velcro bits and board padding and a nice wide shoulder pad and a bum bag to put it in.

where i can by the straps to hold the sup you show me in the first photo?

What you can do is what some C4 boards and the ULI boards come standard with.

Very simple - 2 leash plugs fitted to your board about 1 - 1.5m apart centered in middle of your board with a loop threaded through each. You place your paddle through both these loops and carry your board using the paddle as a carry handle - no need for a strap.

Don't understand why this is not more common, works perfectly for getting my board around.

Trolleys are ridiculous, very uncool, and should be reserved for goat boarding... errr but then again that's coming from someone who loves his inflateable.

You can buy the roof rack straps from AutoBarn for about $5-$10 a pair.

Most surf shops also sell them but cost about double but are better quality.

The shoulder strap shown in my pic with the Naish logo is from the Naish board bag.

You could use any old shoulder strap from an old bag or case..Even try an op shop.

You can get by without the shoulder strap part by tieing the two ends of the roof rack straps together.

The only problem is that it can dig into your shoulder.

Just fold and stuff a beach towel between your shoulder and the strap and it will be fine.

Also...having straps to hold your paddle helps heaps if the wind catches your board while carrying it..See pic below of the mod that I made to mine.
