Hello All,
Quick review on awesome board
Picked up my 9'8" last week , got the wood version, took it down to closest lake ( freshwater ) to see how it floated me, i am 95 kg, not a worry about float, stability and it padlled really well , almost as good as my 12 footer, spins around easily,
have had acouple of days surfing it now , 3 to 4 ft and bigger in the sets, first impressions,
paddle out , no worries stable, span around easy catch first wave, cranked it round going backhand down the line great speed, bottom turn, cut back and floater of the lip, smile ear to ear, from then on it just keeped getting better, not a board just to stand on and go, bend your knees and crankit, This my 4 th board, and have used others as well , this by far the best one, my mate had a Naish 11'6" out as well we swapped a bit , Naish is a nice board does good things but 9'8" is soooooo much better, A begginer would be fine with this board as well.
Good on ya Starboard

Great news Pete,

Good to hear she goes as good as she looks.

The 9'8" does come in a version that can be sailed with 2 inserts in the deck. If Pete's report is anything to go by it should rip when sailed in to surf as well.

hey marco i broke my back and neck in november so bored as . have to were neck brace and do nothing . hopfully get brace off next week , and start doing some sort of exercise . always thought sups would be ok but to hard to turn . after seeing pete catch some waves the other day and actualy turn , i thought it might be a good way of getting back on the water for a surf , that doesn't strain my neck ,like surfing does . so scottys got another extremist coming so i think ill take it . make sure its a good one for me . catch ya later
