Hi all breezes,

I need your help!

On Australia Day we were super busy in the shop and i had a customer that was pretty pushy about trying to get prices down on a new paddle. Silly prices too!!!

I didn't sell him a paddle in the end but during the craziness in the shop.

Jacko ended up letting the guy HIRE a paddle for $10.00 but he is meant to drop it back the next day.

Yes, it's prob our fault for not really getting his details, we are stupidly trusting people & he has brought 2 sups off us already.

It wasn't until 3 days later i asked jacko if that guy had returned his paddle. NO he hasn't.

He still hasn't, so we are thinking he has taken our Kialoa School paddle and kept it.

It doesn't have the Kialoa sticker on it anymore but it had an ION sticker on it.

The guy brought 2 boards, 1 x 9'6 Dark Wood Fanatic 1 x 9'8 ultraflex Jamie Mitchell of us a few weeks back which is why we didn't bother about getting his details.

He paddles in Currumbin & Tally creek areas. About Jackos size and drives a white 4x4 hulix with a canvas back on it.

We are hoping he has just forgotten to bring it back and would hate to think someone would do this kind of thing, funny thing is i'm sure i'll see him in the water sooner or later as this place is too small to not see him eventually.

Angie and Jacko

Now, is it just my fertile imagination or is anyone else seeing a high speed SUP chase with Angie and Jacko in hot pursuit of this guy. I pity the fool who tries to scam the ROAR crew.

angie and paul- roar, and scotty from greenline have been great with lending gear out to try for gold coast paddlers and i would hate to see that service change because stuff goes wandering

That's bulltish - I'm sure I pulled all the stickers off after I bought it off that skanky dude hiding in the bushes.

Oliver, Angie described the culprit as being about Jacko's size. I'm going out on a limb here in saying you don't get mistaken for Jacko too often.

Woody, You obviously, haven't witnessed me at dawn patrol, ripping the A-Frame bombs lately. These days I've become a bit of an air freak, I like to start off driving hard down the line, avoiding dropping in on randoms. When I'm in the clear, I line up for my bottom turn, digging the shaft deep into the face of the wave, to hopefully set up a couple of floaters, cutbacks and re-entries. Generally I prefer to finish my ride with a couple of helicopters - just to show off to the girls on the beach - who have nothing better to do. As I ride the whitewater to shore there's nothing better than practicing a couple of paddle spins to show off my dexterity.

These days I rarely go out without a gopro camera mounted to my helmet, I usually set it up so you can't get any idea on the size of the waves, that way I can exaggerate everything. When I'm done ripping for the day, I will head straight home, where I'll usually sit down for several hours and swear at my computer several times as I'm editing todays footage. I will then look up some obscure Jazz fusion tracks by Chick Corea and post my completed video on seabreeze just after dinner - so all the other old farts that sit on their computers all night have something interesting to see and get all flustered about.

While my wife is watching TV, I'll usually sneak out to my computer again and sit on seabreeze till around midnight either pressing refresh on my own post to see if the views/comments have increased or look for any topics with safety/pfd/association in the title so I can post inappropriate and negative comments. Generally it only takes a few days before my gopro post will get a yellow folder icon next to it and drops to the bottom of the list - it's then I know I have to repeat the whole process again.

Sadly Oliver, as I read your post, I am swearing at my computer as it attempts to convert GoPro footage.

I can sure imagine a high speed chase, but it only lasts a few seconds the way Angie and Jacko paddle.

Its not like they train most of the SUPers in the area and anyone will look out for it for them.

Guys prolly got gastro from a nasty prawn and is hold up on the can.

It will be back lol.

Phill.
