Our next day will be on Sunday September 13.

After recent consultation we have decided to trial a new format. This has been done so that we can have both a comp and a family day.
The venue will be posted on this thread on Saturday 12 of September. It will be Happy Valley if Northerly winds are up or Mooloolaba Spit if the winds are Southerly.

For the Surf Comp we ask that people meet at the venue at 6:30am for a 7am start. At 6:30am we will decide on an individual comp or a team comp.

The Family Fun Day will start at 9am. It will include:
Board Demos
Junior Activities
Social Surf
Flat Water Paddle.

Feel free to post on this site if you are coming.

Was trying to make it to this one but going to Hervey Bay...Hope to catch next months....do you guys do trips/paddles other times during the month?

Sunday is now ENE and smaller swell. Please check here on Saturday for the location.

I will post on Saturday the Location. It would be good to know how many are coming on the day?? (1) for the surf comp and (2) for the family day.

Fantastic Fun..

The swell had drop off a bit and the low tide made the waves more critical. We had a fair few demo boards today with Southpoint, Kinetic Energy and Coreban boards supplied by Peter Nitschke at Caloundra Wind & Surf Factory Outlet www.caloundrawindandsurf.com and Naish and Southpoint boards supplied by Luke King from Kite Action www.kiteaction.com.au .

We started with a Social Surf followed by a Surf Comp. After the surf comp there was time for the children to have a paddle with some races and a hotly contested parent and child race. This was followed with BBQ, beers and softdrinks. More demos were done and then another social surf. GREAT DAY. 5 more families joined up and the club is going strong with some pretty good surfers.
