Sydney is pumping 4-5 meters with a couple of spots going off. I finally got to try SUP at my all time favourite wave and I wasn't sure how it would be on a standup.

I gotta say SUPs are bloody amazing things - you could get in real early before it hit the ledge and make some pretty long sections. Got smashed on one though.

Anyone else get waves?

Mate... looking at DY point all day at work... not allowed to go out surfing!! only a couple of people out mate so you should hit it!!

just got in from surfing out south newport..no one out, all to myself...so cool. Got some boomers, but wind was a challenge

Hey Matty, already had my quota for the day, plus I heard DY was outta control!

Pete, Newport must have been a hoot and pretty scarey at the same time!!!

Yeah mate its real big! point isnt handling it! closing out into the channel! if anywhere id surf collaroy off the rock pool... little smaller... maybe about 5/6ft instead of 10-12! Germans is breaking at the moment if that tells you anything!

Ha ha Matt, yeah Winki, was breaking off 2nd reef so could get into em before the ledge. Got 4 bombs right through bower, so much fun on a SUP - wipeouts not so good

it was a bit edgey out there. you would see these monsters peak out the back bomby, and with no one else out it was hard to pick the spot. got hammered getting out. but the reward was in those big peaky drops.

Hey Goatman, sounds like you had it good!

I'm a Sprout Daily fan so I get the news down here in Vicco.
I'm also in Manly just for the day Friday, not sure if I'll get time for a paddle.

Looks like swell will drop a bit for tomorrow but so to the wind! Should be on again

He dropped the second peak at Winki and rode it all the way through to race-course.
Gotta be a first on a standup! On ya Goatie - gutsy stuff mate!!

The boys out there must have been gobbed smacked watching you come through on a stand-up!

I was out at Winki this morning, farking terrifying.
Caught 5 or 6 screamers, there was one every hour or so going right the way through fairies! (I missed all of them

)
Eventually copped an absolute pasting on the inside and bruised my ribs badly.
There was hardly anyone at winki...I now know why...ouch. worth it though!

i rode one of the new pacific blends out south newy. the wind hindered the progress, but once on the wave....responded beautifully.

Hey Pete,

We are all getting spoiled for choice.

Kristi tried the Naish 8.0 at Mambo and loved it.

There was also a LSD 8.0 but we didnt get to try that one.

The boards the boards way too many boards.

That LSD 8'0" looked pretty amazing, I really liked the outline.
Wish it had another 10L or so to float me. Looked similar to the 9'0" Nano but
with a bit of tweak.

Phil, is Kristy going to ride the new Naish full time now?

Pumping again this morning at DY, jusy had an hour before the crowd kicked in.

Hey bnaccas PM me before you come up, although Fridays are tricky for me surfwise.

Phil, I was on the little Laguna yesterday, it handled well.

Hey Dutchy were you on a SUP? By mid morning every set was going right through to bower (as the tide dropped).

Bower was good this morning. Mark and myself on the SUPs taking the leftovers from the 10-15 shortboarders. Still scored a few headhigh+ waves.

Not looking good up here on the tweed border, got up at sparrow fart expecting solid swell. Ended up only 3ft but at least I had it to myself.

Hey Piros, yeah this swell was a bonus for the start of summer, had some double overhead first thing this morning, dropped off real quick though. Here's a shot form Realsurf's morning report:

Cheers Matt, pretty stoked to get 2nd reef winki on the SUP, would have thought TC might have surfed it already, him and Matt Grainger are psyhcos on the SUPs.

I think Queenie Bombie has been done on SUPs but not huge.
