What length board are breezers using for the 4km SUP race in the bridge to bridge? I couldn't find any info on the SLSWA site as to whether there was a 12'6 division or open. Given it is the 2nd year they've held it, I can understand that it will be whatever, just interested as to what people are going to use?
Good on SLSWA putting us in it!

I think its what ever you have. Last year there were boards from 10 foot up to 16 foot. But after last year the board can be very over rated, as the little energiser bunny that blitzed nearly everyone was on a 10 foot Naish! If I go in it, I'll be on a 12'6" cruiser.

Thanks Adam, yes it was me. I had a great time on the oc1, faster than I expected with run.... It's brilliant and great for working on SUP paddling technique - for me anyway.
Tony mentioned you when I came down, but I didn't get a chance to come back to the group and say hi.
I'm hoping to hire/loan a 12'6 for the race, my 10'5 is a little slow. We've been training Saturday mornings on Blackwell reach.
Classic paddle is 31st October. I've done it in a surfboat in the past which was a long way(12km), 4km on a SUP would be perfect.

I will be doing it on my 12'6 pin.

Unless Hobie have got their new 14 footers in yet then I will be doing it on one of those

Boxman the race is on 31st of Oct. from Point Walter to the Left Bank.
Haven,t heard of any races in Nov but as the seabreezes pick up the guys will start doing more downwinders. Just keep an eye on the forum as we usually put a post up.

I'm loving the oc6. Its great paddling with others with more experience to give pointers as well as paddling in a team environment. I Haven't been out for a sup for ages asd I'm having too much fun in the oc6. I think the sup comes into its own in real down wind open ocean conditions. If its flat and head or side wind I think I would rather paddle in the canoe.
You should come down again and get out in the oc6.
