Due to the lack of artistic talent amongst the board members of the very new Sydney Paddle Surfing Club, we have decided to run a competition to see if any of you can come up with a better logo for the club.

Pretty much anything goes as long as it's not obscene. It should probably incorporate the name (or initials) of the club and keep in mind that it'll be seen on the website, t-shirts and stickers.

The winner, as voted by the board, will win a free family membership to the club for up to two adults and two kids along with two SPSC t-shirts (featuring the winning logo) and wad of club stickers. That's a total value of $140! If you can't use the family membership we can swap that out with a Stand Up Paddle Surfing DVD.

So crank up your creative skills and post the results to this thread for us all to check out. Feel free to also post your thoughts on which entries you like the best (this'll help us with the judging).

Entries must be posted by Sunday 7 June 2009 to be in the running.

Hey Casso.. Us down here are in the process of setting up SUP Vic and we can pass on all our ideas for logo's that we don't end up using.

There might be some ideas in there that you guys like.

The paperwork is still going through - but all looking good for a July start to our 2009-2010 season. Bring on the inter-club challenges over Summer!

Sounds like something I can give to my Graphic Art students.

What a great idea. Should get them to whip up a few deck grip designs while they;re at it.

At least it will spare everyone from my artistic concept. Laird riding a 19' Penetrator through a monster barrel with a dog on the front (the dogs wearing sunglasses too)

Piros, thats way out of line.....You just can't offer the existing Surfers Paradise Snooker Club logo.

Nobody is guilty of an original thought.......Peter Garrett would be proud of you Piros.
