I'm not making many comments on everyone's submissions - mainly due to the fact that I'm trying to win my own contest (I want free membership too).

Here's mine:

And before you get too narky - the winner will be judged by a panel of executive club members - not just me!

how much are you slipping me Casso !!!!!

I thought you said that there was a lack of artistic talent when you started this thread as I like that one, Casso - it makes it look fun and not taking itseld too seriously which is what SUPs all about for me.

Not that my opinion otherwise would count for much given it's already emblazened across the website

Temporary "interim" website. Like the temporary "interim" sticker on my board!

As a Queenslander this may be an improvement.

For me the bridge and opera house is not enough.. You also need to dress the guy like a Sydney sider and add a few brown mullets in the water.. ..

Casso thats the one!!!!!!!! very coolvery retro

If this one wins, my wife thinks it would look good if you keep with the blue centre and initials for the boys and then substitute blue to pink for the girls

Honestly think CASSo's is great, lets see what the panel say.
The students have loved the challenge and competition involved
in this exercise, if they dont win they have at least had a good
oppartunity to work to a "REAL" brief and deadline... Not all have
stepped up to the challenge.

His and hers:

Higher costs for printing (stickers and t-shirts) but good for emphasising that this is a club for the whole family.

Awesome .... my wife thinks it looks cool for the girls !!!!!!!!!!!!!! she already wants one, better make that two, one for my daughter as well!

Cost is a bit of a bugger..... but in the long run it will be worth it!

Hey casso, To save expense of two different logos for blokes and gals, how about you join the two together: kinda mirror image so one surfer is going left and one going right, initials in the middle between the two?

Depending on how big you made the logo, it could look like a nice set of 'madonna' style boobs on the front of a t-shirt, or else you could put it all inside a big elliptical shape (ie kinda like a surfboard?) either as a line or a solid colour background?.

Hope you don't mind my two bits worth!

So, the deadline for entries has now arrived. The judges will tally their votes and announce a winner shortly.

What happened PlaneSailing, didn't get your student's entries in?

Hey Tans, stay tuned for a proper launch of the new club - but in the meantime you can check out www.spsc.com.au. Oh, and keep Sunday 9 August 2009 free if you want to be part of the history making, inaugural event.

Well how about that? I won!

I can assure you it was a fair competition and no bribery came into play.

A big thank you goes out to all of you who had a serious attempt at designing a logo.

The official Sydney Paddle Surfing Club logos are (standard on the left, girls t-shirt variation on the right):
