what hot steamy w@nk

.....lol....i love it!!!!!.....lol....

the surfing to me looked pretty average "except" for the mega barrels at pipe, mexico and chopes

and where the hell were the real watermen like DJ, oliver and casso (sorry guys couldn't help myself)

it is so crying out for a good old aussie "piss taking version of it" with lots of skulling beers, cooking snags and scratching arse clevage

ahhhh i can see it now

The lingering shots of the "watermen" hanging at the beach remind me of the sh1t euro kite vids coming out now I think it is the "look" they are after. What a pile of hot steaming crap.

As for surf some good short grabs but what's with Robbie Naish's paddle? is just me or does he look really uncomfortable with it.

Nice barrels

Lobes I am with you on the sound

Maybe I'm just an old fart but I think it's the music that makes it.. along with some awsome footage and some great stills like this one at the 3.05 mark.

Hey DogMan I agree we need an Aussie version.. Maybe called "The League of Extraordinary Hellmen"..

I think Robby Naish has spent too many years surfing with a windsurfer boom in his hands..

Thank god, I thought it was just me. Personally I reckon it's mildly embarrassing for the 'sport', but I couldn't give a fug really.

I'm with you John and Doggy-bloody wank IMO-perhaps we're missing the tongue in cheekness of it (not that Yanks are known for self deprecation).

Actually, I think that is Kainoa Beaupre on a 6'10" KuHoe.

Also, no offense DJ, but I have to agree with the dogman and the goatman...
IMO it comes off looking like ego-inflated $hite. Imagine the cash flow behind this. Honestly, when I first watched it, I thought, "Is that the best you guys could come up with?!"

Oh, and the intro might create the SUP'er sniper.

Lastly, I was watching an Occy interview the other day, and he mentioned that he had gotten into the pro circuit by going through a trials process. Apparently, the circuit is not as open to local talent as it used to be. If I understood him correctly, he advocated going back to a more inclusive system that would give the local ripper a shot at the big leagues. That is what I want to see instead of an exclusive club...

Defy the imperialists!!!

Thanks Jon.. I'm not sure if some people are taking all this a bit too seriously (and maybe they should) but when I look at that vid I think of what if someone who's never seen sup or someone who think sup's just another fad watches it and will think..jeez..this really is big afterall.

I know I'm not looking at the big picture here and don't really know what's going on but I just like the way the vid is put together.. I like the old Clint Eastern westerns so that intro puts a smile on my face.. and the dramatic music adds to the whole feel making it something more than just another sup vid.

I'm looking forward to the next 'sup league' vid and will watch it for what it is to me..Just a vid..and I might smile to myself thinking 'only in America'..

DJ I think you might be right about it being a good promotional vid to attract or catch the attention of non surfer/sups. I was watching it the other day and both my kids (8 & 10yo) came running wanting to know what the cool music was . Usually when they see I'm looking at surfing or paddle surfing, they roll their eyes, say "not again" and walk away. This time they both stayed and watched the whole thing. Even my daughter, who coudn't give a rats arse about surfing or paddle surfing, seamed suitably impressed. And my son made me replay it several times.
