I think it's better than an "F".

Would be great if it pointed a hair more forward so you could get a view of what's in front of you while still maintaining a view of you paddling.

Very inventive...was nervous for second with the thread title..LOL!!

Have to agree serious wobble cam. Lucky no horizon or I would have barfed

'A' grade for effort though

The SIC helicopter view is the best view but would cost a bit more than pvc pipe and duct tape

I thought it looked good! A view you don't see often. Good job.

I am sure the wobble can be removed, guys I know do it when editing video from kite mounted cameras for kitesurfing.

Always the innovator DJ!!!

Perhaps one of those gyro cameras they use in MotoGP might solve the wobble, but it was good to get an appreciation of foot movement too

DJ, try a small backpack with a block of foam or stiff plastic inserted, stuff the pack so the block is held secure against your back. Attach the extension pole to the foam and position the pole behind/above you. Sure it will wobble when you paddle, but edited that out like you do now. Effectively, you become the tripod and gyro so the horizon should remain relatively horizontal.

I have a picture of the rig somewhere I'll post it when I find it.

Similar to this but with pole extended further.
