Had a 2 hour session today at my local beach. As usual only me out. I am the only one here who surfs/windsurfs. Will post some pictures of the beach as soon as I figure out how.
Anyway there was no surf to speak of, but a nice knee high swell was running giving me some good downwind runs of up to 100 metres over the sandbank. Great fun. The downside was I had to paddle upwind again, not a real strong wind, maybe 10k. A good workout.
Thought I would practice the tail sink turns again. I am a natural footer (left foot foreward for non surfers). Could only manage about 50% successful turns when paddling on my left side through the wind. The swell kept throwing me off. Changed to paddling on my right side and it all came together, didn't miss one.
Felt a lot more stable turning in this direction. Hope it wasn't just a one off, will try again tomorrow.
Cheers
