Maaaaate, how goods the weather and surf been in Vicco?
Just coming to the end of two weeks holiday and I reckon I've surfed every day bar two. And on those days if I hadn't been so lazy, I could of gotten off my arse and found waves somewhere. Not only that, the waters still warm, air temp hovering in the mid twenties and the majority of surfs are going down in boardies and vest.
This footage was taken on Friday. Started out at my favourite rip bowl but as is the transient nature of rip bowls, its shot. While sitting on the beach I noticed that the crowd factor at one of my old haunts had dropped off dramatically with the tide so went what the hell!!
As usual HD slightly better and as for the music,......Casso made me do it!
Cheers
Sparx

Thanks all
Just back from Phillsway as it's a touch West and low tide, meaning zero options at home. It's a balmy 28 degrees and I just spent two hours surfing in nothing but boardies. They reckon we've got at least another week of this weather to come! Jeez winter's gonna hurt when it finally gets here. Thank God there's a seabreeze so I don't have to go for another surf. Might just be able to get all those jobs around the house done that I've been putting off for the last two weeks!!
Cheers

Hey Sparx thats the beauty of living in Vicco! Great vid and I agree, love the cutbacks!! I've just had my first 4 surfs in 3 months.. I demoed and then bought the 9'2" Allwave. It's nice when a SBoarder paddles up and says "nice wave mate" without any malice, sarcasm or other evil intent. So on cue I fell in the water for no particular reason (maybe shock?) Maybe I was hallucinating??? The back is handling being back in the water no probs, it's just the rest of the body that's exhausted!!! Keep the vids coming Sparx and the waves and weather coming Huey!!!!

I'm with you sparxs, freak'n brilliant weekend, went for a surf every day since Thursday, water temp wasn't warm but, you couldn't call it cold.

Good stuff Leroy! So glad you're back in the water and getting amongst it. Nothing like a new shooter to keep you motivated. As for falling off on cue, can top that. A few years back I was flat water paddleing off Queenscliff, total millpond, safe as houses. Water was crystal clear and I watched the biggest freakin stingray I have ever seen glide underneath me. This thing was the size of the flying sub off 'voyage to the bottom of the sea'. Man I just went in head first, strait on top of it, totally hypnotised. Dont know who ended up moving quiker, me or the Ray. Bit of a mess when I took off my bicycle clips!!
See you at the next Bass Sup get together.
Cheers

Hey Adolph
Same deal at Grove today. Wall to wall rubber. Makes me wonder what sort of super suits these crew are going to be rocking when it actually gets cold!! Was down at Lorne last week and I reckon the water was even warmer.

Hey Adolph, told you to hit Bells instead of Snake Island ..... think I saw you dropping on Kelly Slater? Been a great Easter, warm, great waves and offshore winds. Hardest part of living in Torquay has been chosing which break to surf.

Nice vid Sparks, I have it on good authority that there was a SUP pulling into some nice barrels down Bells way yesterday and also got some encouraging cheers from the boys in the line up.

Oh and toughen up Sparkaralla the waves are just firing up, you know you want some big winter ground swell freezing cold just keeps the crowds down

Yeah I was just wearing a G string (untrimmed pubic hair on display) and an old woollen Footy jumper. I roughed up my nipples with sand paper for good measure before I went out!! Big girly squats all those beginners at the Bells Pro! It was 30 celsius on the day of the final, probably warmer than QLD!!

Yeah , gotta love it when the forecast says it's going to be flat as a tack and clean 3 footers come rolling in. All the tourists stay home and the locals get their breaks back!
