Today down at St Kilda marina... and don't come asking for your 9 1/2 minutes back if you find it boring..

Why did I just KNOW we were gunna get one of these from you today DJ?
Probably got something to do with looking wistfully out the office window yesterday (and now for that matter) wishing I was out there with you.
And I don't need my 9 1/2 minutes back - the IT nazis don't allow anything like your vids to be viewed at work...which only makes it all the more infuriating.
See you tomorrow at Black Rock

You're probably right.. I've been paddling this area for years almost daily and got to meet most of the guys who own these boats.. The guy doing up that old tug/fishing boat is a really nice guy.. I know for a fact he wouldn't mind.. . I'll often stop and talk to these guys as I'm paddling past while they paint or scrap bird poo off their boats.. Often I'll sit on the edge of their boat and chat and I've never been asked not to because they can see I'm very careful and not damaging anything.. Actually lots of these boats rarely get used or touched but that will all change with the new marina.. It's usually the old couta boats that I might sometimes sit on (for a minute or so) and you're right.. Probably not cool.. It's not something I do all the time.. Paddling under that beautiful big cat was probably not cool.. But I was very careful not to touch or damage it.. I guess it's like someone leaning against your car while it's parked in a public car park.. Some people wouldn't mind.. Some would think 'not cool'.. Maybe I shouldn't do it anymore.

If I was one of those boat owners and saw DJ regularly cruising around, and had a chance to chat to him, I would be thankful that he gets out there to patrol the area to reduce any likelyhood of people getting up to no good, thieving. My grandpa's yacht was broken into once.

I do understand where your coming from though Fairhaven.

DJ's not on any "Rainbow Warrior" mission

Nice vid DJ happy to give my 9.5 minutes .Have to agree with comments about going to close and boarding moored boats , I know you meant no harm but some boaties are very edgy about that especially the old pros.. they might keel haul you.
