I had'nt heard of Vimeo until I became a breezer. I have sussed it out a bit.
Looking to sign up. Question is do I go for the basic (free), the Plus package or the Pro package ? Can you post vids that requires a log in/password to view ?
E.g. If I posted vids of my son's footy games can they be privately viewed by the team or can they be accessed by the public ? Or family vids that my Extended family could access from interstate?
Appreciate some advice.

Vimeo is the best. All kinds of private options that need passwords and stuff like that. Best video hosting without the music issues that YouTube has. Hosting quality playback is top notch. Buy the plus service it's worth it.

I think most of us just use the freebie Vimeo.. I think that's all you need.

Plus allows viewing from mobile devices such as phones,etc. and up to 5 gigs of downloads a week. There are some other features to that the free account doesnt have. Just depends how much and what you are gonna do with your clips.

Vimeo plays better. None of that buffering and slow playback you get with YouTube. YouTube just keeps getting worse.
Vimeo uploads faster too.
Download the Vimeo uploader app. It makes uploading easier and faster. If you have iMovie, it uploads direct to Vimeo without needing the uploader app.
With the $99 Apple TV your Vimeo home movies play on your TV. It works great.
