Anyone keen for a downwind on the Gold Coast this weekend? Saturday is definately the best day, but I'm keen to head out either day. PS I'm not the fastest but am willing to improve on that.

It doesn't matter if your not the fastest as long as you have a go. Ask the people your paddling Downwind with to give you a 10 minute or 1/2 hour head start that way you should finish around the same time.

The best way to improve is to just go for a small Downwind paddle on your days of like say. Alley to Burleigh Heads is a good 5 kilometre run on a South wind or Wharf Road just before Surfers Paradise to Nobbys beach is a great short Downwind run if the wind is NE.

Remember competitive Downwind SUP racing pretty much started in 2006/07 on Maui's Maliko Gulch (this comment may not be correct but I recon I'd be on the money)

Remember it can take a couple of years just to learn HOW TO catch Runners.

It doesn't matter how good you get! or how good you are! Because somebody is going to bet you. Downwind SUPing is still in its infinite years what we will see in the next 10 years will be mind blowing. (Help Me Please Mr Wizard)

anyone keen for a snapper to alley run we are meeting at winders park at 10am

If i was you guys i would be doing a cooly to alley run not snapper with the wind this south!!!

Hey guys, something has come up can't go but i'm sure Lacey and Squeeky are keen for one sometime today so give them a message if your keen
