Just bought a 2nd hand C4 Waterman SUP and the deck grip is curling up and coming off the board in a couple of places

Any glues on what glue to use to get it stuck down again?

Contact adhesive works well but is pretty messy and hard to coat both surfaces and let dry before touching them together when it's just a lifting edge.

I found some auto silicone that seems to work well.

Here's some more info and pics that might help.. www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=37867&SearchTerms=sticking,deck,grip

just got the heads up from a bloke that fixes sups for a living and he tells me that the best adhesive to use is the stuff they use to stick sanding pads onto sanding discs with, it gives a strong bond but if the need arises to pull the grip off and replace it then the glue comes off pretty easy. he reckons you can get it at any hardware. i will give you the name of the stuff when i pick up my board from him on wednesday.

I find Selleys All Clear is great.

It's a sealant but with good gluing capabilities as well. It says it can be used on wet surfaces so it doesn't matter if your grip isn't totally dried out (but better if it is). The fact that it is clear means you can allow it squish out the edges of the grip without having an unsightly mess on your hands. The bit that squishes out the sides also acts as a great seal (because it is a sealant) which stops water getting under your grip and ripping it off again.
