So I just got a Naish adjustable carbon paddle for friends and kids to use and decided to get the 3 of my paddle out to just compare the differences. The other two are a Coreban stealth and a Fanatic 40.
To my surprise the Coreban and the Fanatic have the dethedral on the catch side, so with paddles laying down with the blades titling down it is on that side. The Naish on the other hand is virtually flat on the catch side?
Turn them all over so the blades are angled up and the Coreban and Fanatic while not completely flat , have the much, much smaller dethedral and the Naish has a full dethedral! On the non catch side!
Is some thing strange going on here? I can post some pics if you need to help visualize, or if someone has a Naish paddle and another to compare. Please enlighten me!

Maybe the Naish was a left handed paddle

Just great, I get 2 responses with more sarcasm than sense!
Would someone with half a brain or more offer some perspective?

Hey KNX,

just ckecked out a Wener and a Fanatic both have a more significant dihedral on the catch side.

It may be that the Naish has more cup in the blade and they believe that they dont need as much dihedral to stabilize the blade to stop the flutter????

or

They just use less dihedral and on the catch and use the bigger dihedral on the non catch to increase the blade strength????

my 2 cents

My paddles have no diheral on the catch and a small dihedral on the non catch

Simmondo has had a drinking straw taped to the blade of his paddle for about 6mths to produce a very small diherral and seems to love it

well, when you title a post like that, you invite sarcastic wit. as if a major company would totally screw up a paddle like you have suggested.

og sup was kind, but even he couldn't resist at the end

cheers
