hi, it's 29 wide,4 thick.i've got the 7'2" starboard to ride. the lenght caper is just me exploring the board and what i wont. by keeping the lenght the same, it's one less thing i have to factor in when deciding how the changes went.i will probably size down when i think i've got it sorted
cheers
ps the boards are real good, but part of surfing for me is tinkering around with them

I must be a DC salesman too, then, as I absolutely love my DC8'10" (the first one Lacey had). After borrowing it I couldnt give it back...

Im back in Oz this weekend and have some great pics of the South African crew charging Dungeons and other spots. Casso you need to check out these pics as these boys are doing some good charging and surfing...

really happy with the board, but i can't get the quad thing out of my mind after the 7'2" sb experiment. i might go and see mr piros seeing as he is the local quadman rep. i would also like to see some photo's of other people's quad setup's just to get an idea of positions if anyone would be kind enough to post them
cheers

well, the deeds going to be done- going quad that is. thxs to lookie lookie and piros for their time. i went for the straightness for the sa quad with the measurement back from the front fins from rob's. my front fins were a 20 mm farther forward than both boards and couldn't get the width on my tail to fit robs side measurements. fingers crossed. probably got heaps of fin sizings changes coming up to look forward to
cheers

Hey Lacey,

Put in that 5th fin option too, mate. If you don't like it you don't need to use it but if its not there you won't know the difference. I am going 5, for sure, on my next board. The fin placement in that pic looks just about right from what I have experimented with in my short boards.

I am in Adelaide this week so will start a new thread on the RSA trip when I get back to the Goldie next week.

I've got five sets of plugs in my DC too but I've never gone beyond a thruster set-up. It's probably about time I tried going quad.

I'll be on the Goldy for two weeks as of Saturday - might see you boys out there.

I have been playing with the 5 fin configuration for a few years on my short boards. Once you get the right fin combo together its the real deal. I like the speed generation that you get out of the quad array and the turning drive from the extra 5th centre fin (I use a pretty small one here).

I had to leave my trusty 5 fin Dale made me in South Africa, unfortunately. This board has surfed P-Pass, G-Land, J bay, Ulus, Ghana, Raglan and I think it also went to Mexico. It was getting a little long in the tooth but what a board! The 7 fin configuration Dale made me is identical to the 5 fin (except we added 2 extra fins). I will get back on that one on the Goldie and get back into experimental mode...

So much experimenting... so little time! DC is there all the way helping with the R&D. I think he has as much fun as I do trying different things.

I am back Friday night from Adelaide so we should take a few of the DC8'10" boards out and try a few different things.
