my board got delayed, so mick said take his for a spin
i did a run from bilinga to alley. reasonable runners, a little sideways.
i stood about a foot back from the handle- very comfy. the board seems to absorb a lot of the lumps and bumps with its full rail, slight chine into single concave set up. the slight displacement nose feeds the concave. umm, very clever the way dick van straalin does this.
normally you might associate chines with instability- you get the opposite here- more stability- again very clever
you may have seen photos of that full on reverse nose- it works and works very well.
i was impressed with it's directional abilities- when i cut, the board had purpose about it. another words it went where i want it to. paddling into the alley was a breeze.
very good at runners and well, i didn't feel like i really had to exert myself at all. control and balance are the keys here. i've always found it a good sign when you can stand back on a dw board and not feel like you are going to drop off all the time
imo this is a very very good all round board and easy to use.
anyway, those are my comments- some may be interested, others will bag me.
i'll post photos tomorrow hopefully
cheers
