yeah, a fast board and sits nicely in the water. we had bad big conditions on the goldie on the noosa race weekend(saturday). it flew, but i couldn't stay on it. i would get well ahead of mike, fall off, he would pass me, i would get back on the board and zip past him again and so forth. even dale falls of on this board and he never comes off.thats why i wont to try that 13"future fin as a rudder on it in moderate dw run.it seems to take the edge and kick off the thing when i paddle around in the creek mouth. i will use it as a flatwater and small conditions board. so between mike dale and myself we have worked up a big ocean version that will be 28"wide, centre pulled back, surf edges and a few other things. the idea first up was to produce a fast board, we feel that has worked, just need to tune it to be use-able.should be set with two dw boards- a flatwater/ small conditions board and an out and out ocean board
cheers
ps dale takes our feedback and we make suggestions, but at the end of the day, he is the man.i'm a carpenter- builder used to working with my hands, but i just have no idea how they do it. shaper's are craftsmen and don't get the money they really deserve imo
