GSI Carbon - the last GSI carbon paddle I saw must have been the best part of 1kg. There are 400 gram options out there. Quick Blade do one at 400 / 420. Quite a few others are in the 450-600 gram range.

GSI Aluminium - save yourself the time and trouble, sell it as is, FUSED, and put the money into carbon ! Problem solved !

PS - GSI never had a soul in first place. It's a money making machine, utilising a moderate amount of partially exploited Asian labour.... Sorry!
