Just had the best morning sesh in my short sup career only to return
to the beach to find a crack running around the air vent plug of my board.
Dont know how i did it or when but it seems to have taken in some water . Any one know of someone who can repair something like that around the Phillip island area . Any input is greatly appreciated .
Cheers Mick .

I can't help you on the repair side of things but I do know how you feel. After going for a SUP yesterday morning and about to hang my board up in the garage I noticed 2 big cracks in the carbon on the topside of the rail near where I stand. I was pissed. Awesome start to the day ruined.
But thanks to this forum I've found someone in WA to do the repairs. Fingers crossed it not serious.
Hope you get the answers you need on here as well. Best of luck bud

Feel the pain. I had a board for a whole month before it cracked right across the top, just before chrissy. Didn't see or hear anything. Went to turn off a wave and paddle back out and looked down and saw it. Felt sick in the guts and got straight out. Ruined an excellent glassy 4 hour sesh.

Damn! Perhaps you had some of those pesky penguins smashing into your board? Not familiar with that area (apart from knowing about the penguins), but Im sure you can get that repaired pretty easily ...

That sux but pretty sure one of the many surf shops in the area would be able to repair it.

Mad me laugh with the broken HEART (Sorry)

This is a major problem with all boards.
This is a finicky spot for new boards and the same for repairers. Make sure you find someone good and stress you don't want this happening again.
Hopefully the repair will strengthen the original problem.
Unlike finboxes I feel you won't have the same problem again after the repair.
