It's interesting reading the different posts from those that have just had their first surf/paddle with their new board/paddle.
It is invariably positive with the new board/paddle so much better than the previous aquisition.
We sit and wait for the honeymoon to pass and the reality to sink in.
Yes the 9.8 is great in surf but hang on,it is a pain constantly battling to keep balance etc.
It will be interesting to see in time what the golden standard eventually will be.
The board length/width and paddle type that most surfers would prefer on any given day.
Most shortboards are in the 6'0'' to 6'6'' range in a thruster configuration because that is what works the best.
