well 6 of us are going to paddle from the alley to inside the seaway. the idea is to washride if there is nothing going- team up so to speak. we are meeting 7.30, some may leave from burleigh at 8.00. if you do come bring lots of water and we are looking for pickups at the picnic area inside the seaway!!!!.however, its a reasonable paddle from either the alley or burleigh so be aware of the distance

lacey how long did that paddle take you all to do?

we paddled to miami/mermaid. the wind had changed to be dead against us. we were going well.mick, kelly and myself were wash ride teaming. it took us 25 mins to burleigh then we were slogging it out. our boat came up to us on the hour. kelly and mick did 15 mins more. i had had enough-i'm not going to molokai. i paddled back inside and told the others we were going back.

it ended up being a fun dw paddle back to the alley.

ps a team race would be fun i reckon.one takes the lead for say 5 mins, the other two wash ride, then number two takes the lead. the other guy that was infront slips behind and has rest wash riding. a good team could really chew up some k's doing this.
a team of equal paddlers would have to beat the same level paddler doing it by himself
