I agree Lacey. I'm hanging to have a go on it. I reckon it will be a bit porky for you though, after the 7'2.

ok, when i saw the photo's i said they look dated. i,ve seen the 10fter and still think the same. i got a look at the 9 fter and quickly realized i was wrong about this board- 9 fter. it looks a good shape . the nose looks good, but appears fatter in the photos because it is a solid colour, doesn't have any fancy pin lines etc to disguise it. it has a nice looking rocker and it would have to be the lightest popout board i,ve felt
that's the beans spilt

Thanks, How did you feel about the litres of 131 on the 9'0

The board to me even at 131 litres is a verry floaty looking board

But may still be best for 80kg and under, I could be wrong??

Interesting boards, but verry little info out there.

Not at all, I was saying i am looking into the 9'0 as it has landed here as has the 9'6 .

But i also am loving lsd's shapes and he has offered to send me the plan for his 9'0

Which will be given to a shaper here.

Makaha, I am fairly new to sup. But the lsd shape is 32 wide

So stable..

The mact is not as wide but was a option, But in saying that the 150litre mact would be better for my 85kg but imho to floaty and corky.

Good litres to start on but long term imho maybe not the right board

here is a rough guide if you wont to use a board in varied conditions- 1.5 x your weight if you are on the money. 1.7 to 1.8 x your weight if you are ok.but be warned about the 1.5 bit- don't kid yourself. guys go less and get away with it or just use lesser volumed boards in good conditions
cheers

So, 1.5 x 85kg = 127.5 This make the mact 9'0 fine but a challenge for a learner

With the mac being i think 131+ litres

Or 1.8 x 85kg = 153 litres

Verry big difference unless i made a porky working it out

1.7 average /1.8 poorer average. as i stated bp, a rough guide only. a lot of things to consider- height, weight, ablity, agility, age, long torso/short torso etc. the mact 9 fter would make a fine second board for you imo

Yes my thoughts as well, Trying to jump past that first board

From what you seen would you say its a fairly good all round surfer. Or realy a clean day board only. The pic looks rather narrow in the nose.

But i presume seeing it in store puts a different light on it as it would look different.

Cheers lacey

an all rounder. the nose doesn't look to skinny to me, but then i'm a shortboarder
bp,question- if you have a longboard background and think the mact 9 fter nose is to narrow, why are you looking at shortboard type sups?

I will be suping full time and not realy on longboards now.

So want it to ride well, Not wanting a board to ride like longboard Pluss the ease of a shorter board vs the longer mal style sups

ok, because if bp hasn't had much time on a board, i believe it will be a good board after he gets a bit bigger board first to lick his chops on. this what has been repeated said to bp over a period of three months on the breeze by members, but he is unwilling to take that advice he has asked for
