I have just been handling the 9'6" and I love the look of it. Sporty in it's length and shape but carrying a reasonable amount of thickness in the nose and tail to be more relaxed whilst general paddling. Feels real light too.

Hey BP, have you decided on a board

mac

YEP, it will be mactavish or LSD shape if i get the plans.

Man your missing out on the action BP

Not for long, Mact on the racks here now. I decided i may go for the 9'6 as i feel the 9'0 is just to advanced and for NE winds mostly here and on shore the 9'0 might be just a bit of a pain.

It was a toss up between the naish 9'6 at 135litres or the mactavish at 150litres
As i am off to see both boards and pick one i will see i guess which will be best.

I feel 135 litres of the naish is more in proportion for my 85kg

Cheers jack!

I've just got back from a short session on the 9'6" McT and although the waves were only 1 1/2 ft at best and it's gusting offshore making paddling into waves a bit more difficult, I still managed to get 8/10 waves. This board is easy to throw around, really manouverable and I got little bit of nose time too which i was super stoked about. It is stable at 29 1/2" wide and has enough float for me at 95 -97 kgs. I did notice the lack in glide that i've been used to with a bigger board but the responsiveness trade off is good enough for me. I'm off up north tom afternoon and am hoping for some larger more powerful waves. But first impressions are that this board is great. I'm not particularly great at surfing/supping but I found the board works for me!!.....One thing I would change I'd place the carry handle roughly 4-6 inches to the rear of where it is as when the fins are on it is off balance when you pick it up.
