Yeah definately a good sesh
Surfers are scared of the unkown. They all like to stay on their little boards.
I think its all about us being friendly towards them and to share the waves.
We must look pretty intimidating towering over them?
Once they see you are no threat to them they do start to relax and drop the "Im better than you" attidude.
I like to smile and say hello to everyone that paddles past or near me.
They usually ask you a question about what you are doing.
This is the perfect opportunity to educate.
After all we are just people like they are
