[i was out on the 7'2" sb . it was onshore, hard work to stay in those conditions , but when you are on a wave,i don't think any other board could match it(onshore that is). the thing goes into places you wouldn't think was possible on a sup. my favorite was just to try to smash it on a closeout and you know you have a very good chance of making it with that radical nose rocker. the bummer is standing up and paddle through a wave or foam.as phil suggested, you step forward, not back.if i was was paddling out on an ugly day, i would kneel it. i reckon with a bit of paddle speed you could go 0ver huge amounts of whitewater/foam that is coming at you
cheers
ps with the way it smacks up at you, some wags might be able to do a re-entry of the foam and catch the wave

Yeah , my balance might be a bit better when i get it done so ill be able to go for one of those short sup,s you ride!Im allways envious when i see guys on short sups ripping , my board is pretty average in small surf , it only comes into its own with a bit of size.

without you know what'ing in your pocket, you would have to be one the better goofy footer's at the alley and it can't be easy surfing a point break on you backhand all the time. if things workout for you and you can drop down your sup size, i reckon you wont know yourself

Lacey man.. I feel so sorry for you... hope you have a good physio you can go to... im having knee problems as well... physio reckons I have torn lateral meniscus in my left knee however he cannot confirm without an MRI but if it gets better with the treatment over the next 2-4weeks that is the case... if not its an MRI for me.... just stoked my physio know's SUPing so he is still letting me paddle as long as no pain and I stay natural and dont surf switch .. just have to ice down afterwards.... so stoked! Good luck with the re-hab man!! hope it gets better soon!!

Do you blokes use Blanes "ultimate traction" deck pad system? ie tiny pieces of pad to the edge of the board.
I slipped off the rail edge of my 9.6 in a late take off last week and without a wetsuit could have sliced my femoral vein on a side bite during the fall.Just a cut on the inside leg fortunately
I couldn't stick extra bits to the back edge of the rails quickly enough.Way better now.

Yikes All out for 160....the poms have one paw on the urn!!
