Anyone just watch the girls semis? I haven't watched the women for a while, bloody unbelievable, surfed better than the blokes did this morning! Final starts in a minute.

yeah, i caught a bit at two different shops- some of those girls were going off.
a cutback into 360 critical i wont forget in a hurry

Yep, womens surfing has definitely changed.

Attractive girls / women, unbelievable surfing. It's very marketable, i'd say the time for it to grow and be more than it ever was has to be in the next year or two.

They need to do duel events with the men when they can for sure as well. With this level of surfing they stand up in performance now for sure. They took it away seperate before because they looked a little average in comparison. Not any more eh?

The taj heat is sick! Both fellas are ripping it. 4 nines so far....9 mins left!


Shame the chicks never got these low tide conditions....they deserve them these days.

Yeah great show from taj he was on fire...it looked like he may have been a little over scored on his last wave but I will not hold that against him. He was going off.

I agree Ted. The waves and performance levels leading up to the finals was insane. Sadly the conditions for the final are awful.

Oh damm, I thought Taj's last wave MIGHT be enough to over take KS. I really was cheering for him. Great result for both guys though and other than the final it was incredible display of surfing throughout the entire event. Including the women who killed it!
