hi all just wanted to say thank you to Andrew from Balmoral Boards did a lesson taught by him along with a nice couple from kiama (they drove up all the way to sydney just for him) and i have to say it was the best day ever ! he was very encouraging and all 3 of us finished the lesson saying MORE MORE MORE i am now totally hooked and have lept in and bought a second hand laird 11.6 and loving it .... tried a bit of small open water/surf yesterday(well really it was just chop) at fishermans beach and realised i still have to put in lots more flat water practice for pivot turn, that seems to be ultra crucial out there (Andrew warned me about that), plus i was stressing about the grey sightings around there the other day so that didnt help my balance to much . andrew also told me to check out this forum and he was right its full of interesting info thanks to the sup community . i look forward to checking the new posts . messup ( Tom)
ps.. does anyone know if the water in narrabeen lagoon is safe to swim in ?
the reason i ask about narrabeen lagoon is the sea lice that sometimes plague narrabeen and collaroy beaches are said to come out of the lagoon so it makes me think twice for using it for a practice area , man once you get a dose of sea lice bites you can itch yourself stupid . now this could all be rumors i see plenty of people canoeing and sailing out there normally so it probably is crap . and hi to everyone on the northern beaches of sydney tom
hi DJ , are those the little fish that live under the trees that have the spiders that bite you ,and leave a festering scab weeks later that eventually bursts open only to reveal tiny baby spiders oozing out . are u sure its africa ????????????hehehe
Thanks for your kind words Tom. It is always a pleasure to teach people who you know are going to fully benefit and get the most out of Paddle Surfing - enjoy!!
