Always enjoyed your posts.
Some people love sup, just enjoying their time in the water, doesn’t really matter to them what they ride, you see them paddling around on assorted craft with a goofy smile on their face having fun.
Other people think about it more, and get immense enjoyment out of the equipment they use.
Coming up with ideas, justifying the expense, testing, tweaking, and striving to design something which is as close to perfect as possible.
Sup being so new, the improvement in design has been incredible rapid, and when the learning curve is steep, and every new idea you try is a big leap forward from the last one… it is very addictive. When you are learning.. It’s fun.. when you stop learning… it gets boring
So it would seem maybe you have run out of design ideas? things you would like to try out.. for now.
So instead of saying farewell to SUP, cause suppers in general will lose out on your R & D (and allot of cheap cast off boards)
How about you help me design a 8’ SUP based on a DVS rocket fish plan shape, with a spoon deck, Murray Burton cathedral hull, Stretch drop rails with interchangeable carbon flex tails which you can swap around to suit different size waves and conditions… wouldn’t that be fun to see if you could make it work?
