My mate asked me the same question and he is by far a better SUP rider than me He said you can buy on e-bay for 40 bucks and a cheap paddle 9 bucks,yep it would work,in flat water only!

Ok this is my plan for Sunday,meet early at Tally,we paddle ,your little tackers paddle/surf! everyone has a go!!! and all is good! If the surf is on down south,I'll bring my longboard and we could head down there? If we start early we will be home early,happy wife happy life!

Yep second hand SUP's are about to flood the market,my mate has
had his for 4 months 12 footer and is trading down once he gets
some $"s as I will in a couple of months,once I get the feel!Mine is what
they call an alrounded,flat water/surf! I bought it mainly flat water,as like you
live on water!but after a month I started surfing it and 11.4 is a beast once your
on a wave,I've got a long way to go,but tried 10.6"s and they rip! early day's for me
