My tide watch is an older model, looks a little bit similar to this, except with the added tide dials, and moon phase. Still going strong. 10 years old. Looks about 1 year old. Extremely durable.

Ripcurl Rincon....I'm on my second one as they only seem to last about 5 years but at $200 you can't really complain...tide time and height, moon..it even tells the time...lol

Yep, got one of them. Love it when I am overseas for leaving the hands on home and digital on local. Nice watch.

I have 4 Rip Curl watches now, they all have the alarm set for 6am. It's kind of amuzing if I'm still home at 6am in the kitchen when they all go off at once.....

Thanks guys, some good options, much better result than the SB room but I should have expected it given the level of wisdom here.

I have this one, had it three years so far and it's great.

http://global.timex.com/watches/intelligent-quartz-tide-temp-compass-t2n721za

I have had two of these Timex jobs and the tide function is great, but the temp and compass are a waist of time and effort. You can't get spares for them as they are an old model, but you can get them on that cheap online auction site that you can just buy a new one when it packs it in.
I'm not putting them down, I love mine and will get another one when the one I have packs it in, or I lose it in the surf like my last one.

Cheaper Casio here as an option. I have had mine for a year with no dramas and its still going. No doubt that a g shock would be better, but at 200 bucks or more perhaps a bit prohibitive.
I think mine was in the order of $49 on special at BCF.....?
