Yeah, my brother in law was in there last week and said Tom was visiting and that he's a real gentleman. And his boards are great. But still, bro in law was leaning towards a 10' G&S Dane Wilson model. (Perrow shaped, i think).
I like how some surf shops can still give you that experience. By all accounts Tom is a gentleman. I also heard he built some big boards for himself while he was getting over some hip/flexibility issues. He joked that he made a "sidewalk model" - or something like that - cause he needed something with heaps of stability (and glide) to struggle up on. He's a good surfer, i know. But that stuff makes me smile, cos i am heading towards sidewalk/footpath/airport runway style boards to allow for my slow clamber up. (Hip issue).
