i recently went over to the dark side with a couple of Fish boards. After riding longboards for so long it has been a slow transition. Anyway was out on my 6'2" Bamboo Flying Fish from The Surfboard Warehouse (i know cheap epoxy pop outs suck) today in good size waves. Once i got the feel of it under my feet it went great but whenever i was going fast and turning it made this incredible sound, like a shark alarm or something. I was told it was my fins. Im riding as a quad with quality fins. Is there anything i could or should do? It would appear that the better i ride the more it talks to me.
I was told i could sand the trailing edge of the fins. Any advice?

Yeah I know the feeling. Just last week I had to sand a fin the use a mallet to bash it into a box. But putting the fin into the board it cane with fitted perfectly, that's 2 boards out of hundreds I've had a issue with, I did buy one once overseas and it was a very loose fit so I used ice cream container stops to pack it. Put this shouldn't happen

Hi Steve, bloody annoying!
you do give the trailing fin or rear part of the fin a light sand, the area at the base will probably need less sanding than moving towards the tip.
Dont go to hard to soon , you may need to do it a few times.
