Those pics are from last year...the Saturday was poo, most of the pics are from Sunday which was one of the best days of the year. Unfortunately the big event this year was absolute crud, but it was amazing what Justin Redman could still pull off in it, can't believe he didn't win.
http://www.woolacottimages.com/f979804179 Last year I'd just gotten a new shortboard & surfed 2nd's, but ened up grabbing my LB out of the car later on when more people came out. Its pretty rare to get bazzed at 2nd's but this young bloke in between heats took off on a bomb that just threw over a tight little sucky section he managed to squeeze through. It was a great wave, best I've seen there in years. I've had a few barrels there, but they've been rights apart from a couple of 1 second cover ups on the left.
I didn't get down to see this years state round, I was injured last Monday & still limping. Might have a go tomorrow maybe...but anyway, this years pics are here.
