Guy down here used to do them years ago, he raved about them.

Look forward to a ride report.

Persisted with a Classic Longboard Quad set up for a good season or two - only good in certain waves I found.

Slippery in some waves and stiff in others, don't know if it is the way I surf, the set up or fins but only really enjoyed it in sucky waves that were not too big.

Cant harm in getting the plugs in and giving it a go in any case - it might work for you.

I will say that when in the right little pocket they just take off and you really have to hang on!

Although not a "long" board at 8' my Goddard quad is a nice ride...loose pintail..but made specifically as a quad..works great

As that old has been Slater said during the recent Australian comp round to the best of my re-collection " I surf quads when its hollow and I want to get slotted and thrusters when I want to turn it"

So based on this I am looking forward to hearing stories of LL taking off behind the rock and tucking in. Maybe spending his spare time at Straddie
