First effort with the editing - so do not laugh too much. Shame there was not a lot of sunshine or waves whilst I was there Its also lost a lot of colour in the conversion phase - lesson learnt for next time.

Having trouble embedding the video so you may have to click through to see it.

Enjoy - and feedback welcome. Apologies in advance to SP as it is no where near the quality that you like to post and to Chrispy who hates GoPro's

Na passed with flying colours, that was awesome ......

I think your discovering your inner hipster, with that new spray on the bullet and cool little clips like that i bet you'll have a blog in no time

Actually rather see some footage of that reef near you place than another downwinder vid

Thanks again that was great.

Edit, I'd suggest putting it in the SB thread but they'd probably think it was WA somewhere and thumb it...

Thanks guys for your nice words......thought I was going to get destroyed!! Its a bit cheesy but was lots of fun as well.......a bit time consuming first time round with lots of lessons learnt.

I will get some footage of those waves you mention SP - will stick an extra plug in the front of the new stick this weekend so she is all good to go. I am a bit conscious of getting smashed and losing it out there which is while there has been none to date. I will stick a small leg rope plug in as well for extra security!!

yep... there are a collection of both left and rights over there......the older cars are all left hand drive - having come from American Samoa and the newer ones are all Jap imports. Makes for some interesting moments! You can still see some of the old markings on the road.

Yes - I did such a good job convincing my mum that she should go halves with me for one for my nephews for Christmas that in turn I ended up with one. Oh well I promise there will be no POV efforts.

Nice first up effort, Samoa looks a nice accommodating place with great uncrowded waves and beautiful scenery, is this the first in the series of the adventures of Ted? ....Rippa

A couple of those waves looked a little crowded? What was it like?

I enjoyed the vid.

Thanks fellas. There were 5 of us plus a surf guide most of the time. Occasionally we would also share the line up with another boat of 2 or 3. Because there was pretty much no swell there were limited spots to surf around where we were staying. Once it gets another foot or two another 15 odd opportunities present themselves. But not all of these are amazing waves at all times - its pretty tidal and wind can be an issue. But if there is swell you could be pretty much assured of surfing by yourselves I reckon. Although at peak peak times maybe not so much. That left we mainly surfed is a quality wave - it would be dead flat everywhere else and that place was still throwing waist to should high waves every now and again. They call it little Chopes and on the bigger sets you could see why as it throws just as wide as it is high. Still yet to receive that footage sadly. Will post some when I get it.
