On 16th September, 2012, a small milestone was reached; the Arctic sea ice reached its lowest level in history. What might this mean for Australian surfers?

Just to put some perspective on this - we currently experience approximately a +/- 20-25cm of sea level rise here annually with the El Nino La Nina affect. Its not uncommon that we get a 40cm shift over a 12 month period. Natural variability is the issue that we most have deal with right now.
