Took my chambered timber board out for its maybe 5th session ever today and majorly cracked it. The swell was maybe half a foot at best but I must have hit the sand at just the right angle and the board is screwed.

So... Due to my obvious distress, the minister of finance has given me the green light for a new board.

I am after a longboard, for 95% beach break and open to all suggestions (obviously something strong due to previous incidents).

I'm in the Coffs area but willing to travel. Any thoughts???

Thanks for the recommendations so far. I quite like some of the Pieter and Clearwater boards I have seen on this forum.

I have a beautiful 8ft Goddard board. I am very tempted to go another one and am going to borrow one of his boards for a little play soon.

Just thought I'd see what else was around.

Does Tolhurst still do boards, or is it just the Ingleby models?

Cheers

You won't go wrong with either Steve Del Rosso or Ronnie based on my experience with both of them.

Yes try something different like maybe the Clearwater Macca Model it has some squirt in it and although I have had many of them I would always have one in my quiver imo good luck

Saw a lovely Tolhurst longboard this morning - pretty much a cleanskin no artwork beautiful went alright too the way I saw it , couldn't go wrong there , and then there's RG close by 2 experts locally (winner) .... or you could always get in touch with mister surfanimalistic & get Carrabine's details for another POV

Depends on how long you want to wait for a custom, a guy I know waited 14 weeks for a custom from one of the above, yeah well he had lost so much weight in that time after ordering it, it was no longer a custom, he didn't want to pick it up, sad.
Peite makes awesome boards but not seen a real beach break board yet,Ron is your man.

I wish my last one only took 14weeks. It's a long story... but sometimes the wait is worth it. And it got delivered the day after I got operated on so it's been another 8 weeks.

Pieter makes great HP and all rounders . Steve that was posting here got one. . Newy has plenty of beach breaks to get the design right.

I'd ask south coast when the new Blewitt model is out. His Mct and diverse boards were great all round boards.

Yes if you like wasting extra money to have a m on your board

yes they are expensive ...the flip side is that they hold together well... and usually easy to sell ...Mac would be the expert on the sell ....

Last ones I bought (2 of them) took 28 months to get. 14 weeks sounds like a dream.

Never thought I'd see the day when Chrispy deleted a post.

its given me flashbacks of when I found out there is no santa and when you punched someone with a phantom ring it didn't leave a scull scare.
