I've got my campervan and I'm 4 months in, just hanging around mid NSW now. Working out which regions to surf for Autumn and Winter is pretty easy but Spring and Summer, not sure. What do ya reckon?

Was thinking about heading south NSW for August and September, bloody cold though. Tassie in Jan/Feb. October - Dec, maybe Vic???

I've done plenty of time in WA and will probably do Autumn and Winter over there next year. And want to be in North NSW for Xmas

I crossed the middle in winter/spring, wasn't too cold. But then I'd just left Margaret River, so I was kinda used to the cold. Great waves through there.

Sounds like a great trip, I'd love to be mid NSW right now, its been onshore here in the West since about last Thurs.

Sorry to disappoint you Mick..but the Mid Coast NSW is as flat as an ironed dingoes donger at present and the Australian festival of Surfing kicks off this week in Coffs Harbour so there wont be much of a chance of a crowd free surf until it's over on the 18th Aug...grrrr

East Coast Tas is pretty good Jan/Feb, scores some pretty consistent NE swells... Happy to point you in the right direction if you make it down.

Really that sux man, hope ya get something soon then...looking good for us tomorrow after about 7 days of onshore wind. We usually have the swell this time of year, wind is the make or break for us coz a lot of WA hasn't got much in the way of protective bays & points compared to other places.

I think that sounds like a good plan - Vic always gets much better swell than NSW over the dreaded Oct / Nov months. Tassie as the water warms to its peak in Feb is also my plan in 2015.

Where are you now?

I'm hovering between Forster and Seal Rocks at the moment. Has been a slow week

yes its unbearable at the moment. We should get some swell shortly. Boomers is probably the biggest place on the coast right now. Let me know when you head further south. Happy to meet up for a surf. I am at the northern end of the Central Coast.

Sounds good mate.

Been watching Boomers all day and it was showing some signs of life but the wind was into it.
