I'm sitting in the apartment overlooking Currumbin Creek (?) and the northern side of the Alley (whatever the place is called).
Absolutely shattered after the flight over and getting up early (3 am). Strange bed, need some Voltaren. Getting old is so much fun, still every day above ground is a good one.
Today, have to go on the family tour of Surfers, get some food in the fridge and maybe get a surf later. Tomorrow for sure.
The surf today is awesome in comparison to what we get in WA, if this happened over there the crowd would warp factor 12.

Mate, do you have transport while you are here ? If so I reckon I little road trip later in the week to Byron would be great for your family Fridays at the pass are good and generally the surf isn't too heavy..

Hey rune - think I may have been out at laceys with you this morning. As for the family - if we do byron on friday there is heaps of cafes/shops/lighthouse walks/beautiful beaches/massage - rejuvination centres/ and its only a 45 minute drive - with the opportunity to call into some lovely little seaside hamlets on the way home
The surfing spots are walking distance to town and I usually get away with an hour and a half to myself in the surf in exchange for lunch in town afterwards. Failing that we could always just have bit of a play at cooly and meet the girls/kids for lunch in cooly somewhere afterwards.
What colour board are you riding ?

Either a red and white MCt FB or (this morning) red and blue McCoy nugget. I also wear booties (long story).

My son come unstuck at Lennox last week and wished he was wearing booties.
He has a thousand slices on one foot and can barely walk and being on a road trip with his mates who are all 17,he didn't bother to clean it ,so it got infected.

WE HAVE SPENT THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS DOING TOURIST THINGS, mOVIE WORLD YESTERDAY (wEDNESDAY) AND bRISVEGAS TODAY. HEY, WE ARE TOURISTS AND HAVEN'T BEEN TO THESE PLACES. Sorry, didn't realise CAPS was on and I'm too lazy to go back and change things.
I've had three surfs in 5 days, this is a big things for me. Didn't surf as well as I wanted to, I really hate wetsuits and the extra weight involved. The older I get, the more i need to make life as easy as possible. Tomorrow, if the surf is OK, I'll go out for another one at LL (see I'm getting the code you guys use). My problem is that nowadays I like to go out when the conditions are right for me.

If you are around tomorrow look for the guy in a rashie, boardshorts and booties, I'll probably freeze my nuts off. Then its off to another Theme park,sea World.

Too many topics - confusing the bejeesus outta me. I think it's funny though how all the topics kinda just roll over into each other and you gotta constantly check the other topic to see what you said last about something so you can keep up on that subject now that its changed into another totally different topic, but still about the same unrelated thing somewhere else

Ok - L/L was chockas full of shortboarders an hour ago and still pretty sizable and punchy towards the northern end. Gunna check it and PBA at 9ish so hopefully the tide settles it a bit and the crew goes to work.

Rune - we have some awesome coffee shops in Palmy (about 1km North of you) so lets at least catch up for a brew on Friday morning sometime (asea - if you are gunna be down ring me and join us). Will pm you my mobile number.

OK,I'll be in it. Had all the intentions of going for a quick one this am but fell asleep again at 7.30am. yesterday was a big day in Brisbane and today we're off to Sea World. We're doing our best to keep the economy going.

Spoke to rune this morning - planning to meet up at maccas in the morning - time to be confirmed but possibly around 0800. L/L was crowded as this morning - shortie everywhere and punchy as hell on the sets.

Its gunna be a very very cold s/w. If you are definately coming we will arrange to meet at 8.30 if you like. Opp Maccas ?

Just off the phone with rune - meeting at maccas at about 8.15 - hoping for a dozen good ones and then a steaming hot beverage somewhere in cooly.

I know F/A about swell/weather forecasts. As long as it aint blown out or too big or too crowded I will be pretty stoked. Haven't been in the water a lot lately due to injured bits so hoping for an easy sesh. Bringing a mate along so if its cracking you and him will be all over it - he's nuts as well.
