On the James Squire Broken Shackles. The local bottle-o had em on special and I thought, these are the ones Tux mentioned, why not give em a crack... the first one's sliding down the old gullet quite quickly.

Yes the old James Is the new generic thirst quencher ...I like them all,the pale ale being a standard drop around here....but I do like trying the weird and wonderful every week

These are a love them or hate them type drink...I love them

Got an American Pale (sipping one right now), a Pacific ale and a Hazy Pale made with fresh cascade hops, all on tap at the moment.
Got a keg of wheat beer and a second keg of the hazy cascade pale in the back up fridge.
Fresh hops, as opposed to dried pellets etc, is simply unbeatable.
And a fermenter full of English-style IPA awaiting a spare keg - I better get drinking.

I also have a bottle of lactic acid to sour any and all beers, so can consider my current range of beers doubled. In my recent experience, a bit of souring never hurts any beer. Not quite the same as brewing with lactobacillus, but the end result is more than acceptable.

For those that haven't tried sour beers, give one a shot on a nice hot day..... I love 'em, but I try to avoid the real fruity ones - tastes more like a cider.

Damn that's steep, although after the cloud catcher i will definitely give the Pacific Ale a try and maybe lash out now and then between home brews seeing as Im saving money when i get around to brewing a batch.you need to put another home brew on within 2 weeks of tucking in to the previous or ya get caught out and have to visit Uncle Dan.

Revising my glowing review of Broken Shackles. Have decided that, like the lovely James Squire Pale Ale, they are great for a couple of heart starters, but not so great for grazing on through the night. so, yeah, have a couple then change up.

Had a look for the Broken Shakles & Stone & Wood yesterday. But aren't available at my local. JS make some nice beers, the Chancer is really nice out of the keg, like pretty much all their beers. But I don't like how they sell mini size ml stubbies at a premium price.

So I always seem to end up back on the good old Coopers Pale Ales. Loving their limited edition 440ml cans at $52 atm, fills ya pint glass to the brim & you gotta knock the remaining mouthful off outa the can

Enjoying Coopers Mild for an afterwork beer - can have 4 or 5 of them and still be legal to drive.

It packs a punch at 8.5%

Nice, the chimmay is normally at dan murphy 9% so a tally is good, pretty dear though - maybe for special occasions - just looked on dan murphy site lots of good reviews of it on there also - you're welcome

Brewed in Cowes Philip Island. Do I call it penguin piss. LOL

Not bad with tropical hops paired with a super clean malt profile for a suitable beer when your hot and wet in the jungle
