... And why...

Me, I'm hanging get back to The Maldives! Cokes, Sultans, Jails... Etc
And Bells on my home surf holidays!

Why, because they are unreal right hand point breaks!

They sound & look awesome...missus wants to go to the maldives but is Cokes a dry spot like no beer allowed?

Otherwise anywhere that caters to my needs & also keeps the missus happy. For ease of access & value I'm vetry happy with Bali for overseas & SW West Oz anytime outside of winter months rocks from a surfing perspective but over time its cheaper to go overseas after you weight up the costs. New places are always a novelty provided they're comfy & cheaper than WA, so that puts a high % of the world on the destination map for West Ozzies

Jeffreys is cracking bro but you have to deal with a lot of bull**** in SA....I would love to go to Costa Rica, Hawaii or somewhere the kids and lady can have a good time while I can get waves

Yes Tux I have heard many a thing in recent times of that issues over there sadly. One day though I will put up with the crap and go get some waves there after spending a few weeks taking pics of animals.

Simondo here is my list as such in no particular order.....fortunately I have knocked off a few from the hit list already so they have been excused. Some will never be surfed due to crowds, locations and general gnarlyness

Pavones, Costa Rica - long long and more long.
La Jolla, Mexico - hollow hollow and even more hollow
Periscopes, Sumbawa - saw a spread of this place many many yrs ago in a mag and it just looked perfect
Treasure Island, Banyaks - looks like an idilic spot
Rifles, Mentawai Islands - seen so many videos of this place - sometimes I dream about it
Lagundri Bay, Nias - as previously mentioned - a wave I have often dreamed about
Pipeline - just one wave at 6 foot with no crowd (like I said some will never be surfed)
Superbank in its prime - as for Pipeline - no interest due to crowds
Gnaraloo - it might be a WA secret spot - but I am hoping to get there in 2014 - its the last of the great Aussie waves I want to surf
J-Bay - as previously mentioned - it really is my dream
Samoa - saw some great setups whilst I was there but had 10 days of hardly any swell
Pasta Point, Maldives - love to go to the Maldives and although Pasta does not seem to be the best wave going around it looks a super nice spot with a great viewing platform for having a post surf beer.
Skeleton Bay, Namibia - looks insane although bloody hard to get there
Angola - no reason required just watch this from 1:40

Ted....in regards periscopes....I had the fortune of scoring it smoking with only me and my bro out in 2001. It's an amazing wave and I reckon very underrated. Easiest most perfect barrel.

Nice work Ctngoodvibes - i hear that there can be a truckload of current, wind and Lakey is a better wave but for me those images of it remained ingrained in my mind. Would you go back?

I have given this question a lot of thought.

I wouldn't care what break I was surfing on holidays.

I would just be happy that I was surfing and that I was on holidays.

I don't get enough of either at the moment.

Have fun .

ET.

Ticked off already in 96 - spent a month there Love to go back. Had some epic uncrowded sessions at Boiling Pt and a few nice days at Killers but AP is the benchmark Stayed 3 houses down from the top of the point in this stone shack cooking Targines on the fireplace most nights.....can not recall what beer we drank though

I agree ET. After 2 yrs without a good break I am soon to take a 6 week one and can not wait. Surfboards are ready and all plane tickets booked. Very excited. Hope you get one soon.

Mate I would definently go back. Had 2 of my best surfs there in a 2 month trip through indo. Back then everyone just seemed interested in the peak and periscopes was out of favor. But that suited me and my bro just fine!....

South of France and into Spain rocks SP - make sure you go there. Just always remember that with the Atlantic do not boother going before Oct. Yes the water will be colder but you will get swell. Reunion looks like a lovely spot but you have nailed the reason why its not on my list!

What other spots do you have in mind?

Samoa to surf Salani right! Was a wicked country to visit.

Most of all I want to go surf Chicama! A left that long would be amazing, long board or not.
